Human Communications is introducing a new exciting way to keep its customers up-to-date on the latest standards developments, the Human Communications Standards Teleconference. The approach is simple. From time to time, we plan to schedule a teleconference on a selected topic that we believe will be quite valuable to vendors and customers of fax, messaging and related products and services.

The series will feature leading experts such as HC President James Rafferty. Customers will be able to sign up to hear the teleconferences live or to purchase cassette tapes of the teleconferences once complete.

Format: After a short introduction, James reviewed the most important developments from the September 1999 meeting of ITU-T Study Group 8 and 3 related rapporteur groups for about 45 minutes. At the end of the call, there were no questions from the attendees, so James provided a 5 minute wrapup and discussed prospects for related standards work going forward.
